Private Lessons

The mastertheguitar studio offers one-to-one tuition in a specifically designed and friendly environment. There are recording facilities available, and a large database of songs, music and materials to learn from.

An RGT approved tutor, Mark strives to provide a high standard of teaching to all his students.

Lessons are flexible, and cater for all levels of experience from beginning to advanced guitarists. Designed around each student's needs, and focussing on whatever style of music they prefer, Mark aims to enable his students to get the most out of their instrument.

Lessons can also be arranged to follow the LCM graded syllabus in electric, acoustic, classical and bass guitar from beginner to intermediate and advanced levels, or, alternately, to follow the Rock School syllabus.

Elements of teaching:

  • Scales, arpeggios and their application
  • Chord knowledge and structure
  • Sightreading
  • Songwriting
  • Music Theory
  • Improvisation
  • Ear Training
  • Music Reading
  • Advanced Techniques

Supporting lesson materials include backing tracks and high quality printed handouts with example audio which can be provided digitally for students.
