I’ve been very lucky to have been asked by my friend Dr Jonathan Kemp to try out some revolutionary new electric guitar strings!

Jonathan (aka Dr Kemp) lectures in the School of Physics and Astronomy at St. Andrews University and is the Head of Music Technology at the Music Centre and has recently published a Physics paper entitled ‘The physics of unwound and wound strings on the electric guitar applied to the pitch intervals produced by tremolo/vibrato arm systems‘
