The Last in Line Guitar Lesson

In this MasterThatRiff! we look at how to play the classic fingerstyle intro to The Last in Line by Dio with none other than Vivian Campbell on guitar.

I’ve heard Vivian Campbell say in interviews that he came up with iconic intro playing about on his guitar in his parent’s Kitchen before flying out to LA to record the album! 😀 There is some classic chord voicing movement going on here using a 1st inversion G chord (G/B) between the Am and C chords to give that smooth bass movement, as well as some great use of open strings to provide that singing, bell like quality.

Enjoy!
